Design Architect

As a Design Architect, you will be working with a small team that enjoys the process of creating, and works in a truly collaborative dynamic. You will be a key team member throughout the life of a project from modelling, rendering and presentation preparation, to Construction Documents and detailing.
You can expect to:
Collaborate with partners and other team members on the design and creation of presentation materials creating high quality realistic renderings and models.
Implement and coordinate building systems and details into Contract Documents.
Take a leading role within a team, in project delivery, and be a point of contact with clients and contractors.
Undertake all aspects of a project from design to the implementation of Construction Drawings and Documents
You will focus on:
Preparation of materials for Schematic Design and Design Development presentations.
Developing, coordinating, and implementing Construction Drawings and Contract Documents.
You should apply if you have:
Bachelor or Master’s degree in architecture, or equivalent experience
5+ years experience working in an architectural office.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and SketchUp or other 3D rendering software.
A strong understanding of the OBC.
Thorough knowledge of building systems, architectural detailing, construction materials and methods.
The ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and ambitious.
It’s a bonus if you have:
Experience in Construction Review and Construction Administration tasks, including Site Visits, Reports, and Meeting Minutes.
Experience with physical modelling and 3D printing.
A valid drivers license and car.
Experience with CCDC 2 Construction Contracts
